Environment:

We are committed to the environment and sustainable development in a number of ways:

  1. An integrated quality, health, safety and environmental policy aimed at continuous improvement and the satisfaction of our customers and stakeholders, while taking account of our environmental challenges and impacts.
  2. Reducing our atmospheric and CO2 emissions and increasing our energy efficiency by :
    • Installation of bag filters to reduce dust emissions.
    • Installation of new low-temperature burners.
    • Introduction of alternative fuels (olive pomace and CSS).
    • Installation of a hydrogen production unit (Fire Up).
    • Production of blended cements.
    • Production of low-carbon clinker.
  1. Good control of water consumption: we have a closed-circuit cooling system, a reverse osmosis water treatment plant that has increased profitability, water-saving taps and an intelligent metering system that allows us to track consumption digitally.
  2. Minimizing waste by improving production techniques, recycling and researching and developing ecological solutions.

Health and safety:

Our high-risk activities require us to constantly ensure the safety of the sites and equipment we use, as well as compliance with best practice in order to provide our customers and employees with safe, high-quality services.

Our ambition is to achieve zero accidents by creating a safe environment through the following commitments:

  1. Strong management commitment, involving all staff and integrating the health and safety approach into all Group choices and decisions, as set out in our QSE policy.
  2. Paying particular attention to the working conditions of our employees and to the safety of our facilities and resources.
  3. Make employees aware of and train them in their role in identifying and controlling risks, with particular emphasis on the safety of people and property.
  4. Continuous reinforcement of the analysis, prevention and control of health and safety risks in the workplace: training in safety and risk prevention, compulsory wearing of appropriate PPE that complies with regulations, etc.
  5. Ensuring strict compliance with the laws and regulations in force
